What we do
HBOT-Wiki compares hyperbaric oxygen therapy chambers and the companies that build them. We document 16 manufacturers worldwide with a consistent data schema - chamber types, operating pressure, capacity, certification, service and warranty - and publish plain-language guides, an editorially ranked Top 10, a buyer configurator and evidence-based news.
Everything is available in five languages (English, German, Spanish, French and Dutch) with the same structure, so the same facts are accessible to buyers and researchers across markets.
Our method: register-verified vs manufacturer-stated
Our defining principle is verification. Every certification a manufacturer claims is checked against the official registers - the FDA 510(k) database in the United States and EUDAMED in the European Union - and then labelled either register-verified, when we found it in the register, or manufacturer-stated, when it rests only on the company's own claim.
This distinction runs through every manufacturer dossier and the comparison table. It is what makes the site useful: buyers can see at a glance which certification claims are independently confirmable and which are not.
Editorial independence
We do not sell chambers, and no manufacturer pays for placement or ranking. Our Top 10 is an editorial ranking based on disclosed criteria - register-verified certifications first, then dossier completeness, then documented product breadth - and the criteria are stated openly on the ranking itself.
Reviews are moderated and carry a purchase-verification notice. When our research cannot confirm that a company exists or that a certification is real, we say so plainly rather than omit it.
